When I decided to call photography my career a few years ago, I never would have imagined the places that I have been, and more importantly, all of the incredible people that I have met! They enable me to express myself by sharing part of their personal lives, which allows me to have the coolest job in the world!

The fact that so many people are willing to share that with me is really an amazing thing. It’s something that i consider to be an honor and a blessing!

An Amazing Workshop (Mentorshop)…

I first found out about Michelle Huesgen (Untamed Heart photography) a couple years ago. I have admired her work ever since, and when i found out she was offering a workshop, I knew I had to go! So thank you Michelle for putting on a wonderful mentorshop, It couldn’t have been any better, beautiful scenery Chandler Hill Winery (loved this place!), and beautiful models, not to mention her amazing processing!  So if your ever in St. Louis Mo. and  looking for an amazing photographer, you have to look her up! Here are a just a few of our models!!

Im not a wedding photographer….but……..

Photography is one of  the greatest jobs that one can have! I met Dan DeWaard about 1 yr ago and have come to know him through our love for photography.

He is an AWESOME photographer and an even better person! He is relatively new to professional photography-yet his work is truly amazing ;o).

Here are a few shots that i’ve been able to work on, as i have many that turned out better than i had imagined. It was a wonderful experience to say the least!

For the Love of Black & White!

It’s been a while since I have posted anything, so here goes: First off i will ask for your patience, as this blogging thing is still new to me ;o).

The more that i “shoot”, the more i realize how much i am truly enamored with B&W portraits. There’s nothing more classic or timeless about a black and white photograph!

My goal is to emulate the “old film” look, as I truly admire the photographers that still work with film.  These images are absolutely beautiful in color, but i wanted to see if i liked them in b&w.

BTW I still plan on blogging my seniors from the last couple of weeks!

I had so much fun with Emma yesterday, I love working with girls, since we get to play dress-up, change outfits, re-pose and change backgrounds and moods in a snap! (more on that in a sec). Emma is the daughter of a friend.  She is soooo very sweet and extremely well-mannered. Thank you Sally!!

These backdrops from www.dropitmodern.com are AMAZING!!   Thank you Breanne ;o)

I have 3 for now (will be getting more soon!) and I’m so very excited because I can use these for most any type of session. This would include families, glamour shots, 1 yr birthday “cake” sessions, seniors etc etc.

Once again thank you so much Emma for being so patient and sweet. You are adorable!!!

Once again I can’t say enough just how much everyone’s support means to me. I am so grateful for all of my friends who have helped me get this blog started, especially Tonya Peterson, Courtney Bowlden and Dan DeWaard. I am blessed to be able to do something that I love everyday! I will be posting some of my favorite images from 2009, along with all of my 2010 clients. We have big plans for 2010 starting with the blog, as well as custom albums, custom-framing and high-def video’s, packages for newborns and much more! Something that I am most excited about is the TONS OF COOL STUFF for High School Seniors!

And since a post is always better with pictures.
